I had great plans for a literary post today to accompany this work in progress painting for PPF. Lots of words, deep thought and maybe even some story. Unfortunately I have once more been struck down by the dizzy inner ear thing I've been plagued with before and my mind has turned to squelch. Movement is a scary process. I'm not in the best of moods.
Still, don't want to miss the party. This isn't finished yet. I'm painting over old works - treating them as a ready-made layered background. Maybe one day when I'm famous but long gone, this painting will be unearthed and scanned by the latest digital technology to reveal the sad 'Lola' underneath. Poor Lola, she lost her youth, her Tony, her mind and her painting!
Hopefully have the finished version to show you next week.
Please send get well wishes my way. I feel pants :(
This is a great post, poor Lola, poor you, get well quickly sweetheart & hope you get to strut your stuff soon (dizzy free) like this gorgeous, absolutely stunning actually, bird of beauty!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous already, look forward to seeing what happens. Am sorry you are feeling so bad, hope this improves soon. Happy PPF, Annette x
ReplyDeletereworking - layering - disappearing and then the emergence of something new - what a process. sorry about your ear thingy - my poor mom-in-law gets that and its awful.
ReplyDeleteDo not worry ... This peacock is enough to stop a while on your site, has some great colors. Un abrazo.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa
ReplyDeleteLove this peacock! beautiful colours, looking forward to seeing the finished version.
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling so great with dizzy-ear, doesn't sound very nice so I'm sending you lots of healing energy your way.
Take Care and speedy recovery :)
xxxx
LISA!! Gorgeous!!! Please feel better soon!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your inner ear problem. Hope you feel better soon. Love this peacock! :)
ReplyDeleteI love seeing something used turn into something else. Like a metamorphosis. Once in awhile I get dizzy for no apparent reason. It lasts about 12 hours. Must be inner ear problems. I just ride it out but it is no fun-I can sympathize for sure. Good luck with it-hope it leaves soon.
ReplyDeleteOh you poor thing with the inner ear thing. I have an inner ear thing too but thank god I don't get the dizzies. I am grateful every time I remember that what I have could be worse. Having an episode as I write loud loud loud noise in right ear have head phone in it with babbling brook sounds so I can't hear it and don't freak out. Great Peacock - I Love painting over too. ♥ Rosie
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you're not feeling well- I DO love this painting tho'. Maybe all those lovely bright colors will ease things a bit?
ReplyDeleteYour peacock is certainly worth the transformation. Get well wishes winging your way.
ReplyDeleteI love this peacock - it already looks finished to me but I'll look forward to seeing what you add to it. Am also curious to see Lola (do you have any photos of what she looked liked before her metamorphosis?!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your inner ear thing -sounds like the vertigo my mum has suffered with on and off over the years - really debilitating so you have my fullest sympathy. Hope you feel better soon. x

ReplyDeleteYour peacock is awesome! I'm looking forward to Lola. Hope you feel better soon, sorry about you feeling sick. Take care of yourself. Oh, by the way, yes Freida is correct but at one point in her life, she decied she did not want the "e" in there so henceforth she omitted the "e" when signing. Take care.

I love this vibrant peacock! And it's nice that Lola is just biding her time underneath.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I think about the stuff I am painting over sometimes...I'm usually thinking, "I hope they don't devise a way to see the underneath layers" because I usually hate what I'm painting over!
Please don't ever paint over Mr. Peacock ~ he's divine!
Hope your dizziness clears up soon :)
