To dance
My blogging slipped into a stupor over the summer and I confess I'm struggling to return to it. A whole range of reasons and excuses are presenting themselves connected with burnout and fear that I just can't do it anymore - that nobody will want to read or comment. What if people don't like me anymore? What if I've been away too long and they've all moved on?
Then, I sat and thought about why I started this blog in the first place and it was never about gaining a readership - it was writing practice. And so, this evening these words shall flow across the page

Here's to always dancing!
ReplyDeleteQuestioning these things myself with each post, yet finding myself coming back to how much I love this medium of self-expression - photos, art, color, words, connection to audience (however big or small). Uniquely blogging...
I hope you re-find your joy in it.
Cheers !
Dancing seems to be in the air at the moment.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back :-)
Yes, I understand the feelings...to blog or not to blog....the air has changed direction in Blogland....but, staying true to yourself is always the right answer :)
ReplyDeleteYour words are just too eloquent not to share them :)
Dance away!
I'm still here Lisa. I don't get around to visiting as often as I would like to but I enjoy hearing about all your antics in the UK and your life in general. I also enjoy the ways in which you have grown as a blogger, extending, reaching out and stretching your very soul to create and advance your already fantastic writing skills!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the same sort of place - haven't been that creativie, little time to visit people and less to show. It will no doubt improve and I will be back - with or without readers... That too was never my goal but I do love my arty friends! Great to see you back writing and dancing!
