Not joining in

I'm not joining in with Art Every Day Month* - that's what I'm telling myself... because you see I have been a bit guilty of overloading myself in recent weeks and so I'm not making any firm commitments....

What I am doing though, so far this month, is making art every day.... so I thought it would be churlish not to share... and also have a little peek at what others are doing too....

I just won't be blogging about it every day, because that would be another commitment... so don't expect to see me here every day.

There. I think I've covered myself now. Right I'm off to make more art (while mentally composing blog posts ready to share later....).

And here's some of the art I've not been making every day. It's a sketch for a larger painting I'm planning... and then I kept at it, threw some colour down then added a few layers in PhotoShop, just for good measure... And there's a floral doodle I played with last night too.

*Art Every Day Month is an annual event run by lovely Leah. I've been there the last two years... but as I said... I'm making no new commitments this year..... (tee hee..... just don't tell.....)

  7. These are really nice Lisa. It's easy to get in overload in social media for sure. Kudos to you for establishing your own boundaries.

  8. "..some of the art I've not been making every day." That's terrific! I am completely guilty of loading up my schedule and turning my art into a chore. You're a smart girl to leave yourself a little wiggle room. Glad you shared today, though. Your paintings are simply gorgeous!

  9. Lisa, these are lovely. Committing to not commit might be the best way to keep you on track. I love your art, and have missed visiting. This is one excellent chance for me to catch up.

  12. These are beautiful--very nice work from someone who's not participating ;) I decided this year to compromise, so I'm creating daily but only blogging once or twice a week. So far so good haha. Happy (non)AEDM to you :)

  13. Love the different studies and your use of red! My first year with AED and feel I was waffling re: committing to it and love how you are doing it anyway ;=)

  14. The flowers are gorgeous! One thing I found with AEDM - anything goes and even making art a few times is better than not. Go for it in your own way>
